At the Blockchain Week in Rome, one of the main italian events of this year dedicated to the blockchain theme, which took place last June, and which recorded about 1,200 participants, the presence of SEED Venture was a must: it was a project that aroused great curiosity among the participants at the event. The innovative concept of Venture Capital proposed by SEED, that is being able to allow everyone to easily finance startups, has brought many to the stand to discover the platform and request information. The Blockchain Week was held in the name of the general interest of the public for innovations applied to the blockchain, and every present initiative could be considered a startup: an ideal event for SEED Venture, a platform based on blockchain technology, which aims to revolutionize the way in which investors meet and finance startups, all in a context of transparency and liquidity.
The Blockchain Week in Rome has in fact confirmed the growing public interest in blockchain technology and the multiple possibilities and innovations that can be introduced in numerous sectors, starting from finance to embracing traditional sectors that need an innovative, even radical, change. A great desire and need for concreteness emerged from the present public, who wondered about the real potential of this technology. For the majority of the population, today’s topic, which is read or heard about, is only the cryptocurrencies and the financial market that has built up around it; but very few people go into the matter, to understand the underlying themes and the innovation that the blockchain can give to the world. Therefore, people today need to understand if this technology can intervene on real problems because, thanks to it, it is possible to arrive at a solution that is not feasible today: it is no longer (or only) a question of possessing the technical tools to enter a new “Financial market”, but the challenge is whether technology can really offer new answers or solutions. SEED Venture presented itself precisely with this intent: a project in the launch phase (now approaching), a solution for all those who until now have been excluded from the possibility of financing new initiatives for various limits, difficulties, shortcomings and risks, with result that today the little “fuel” in the world of Venture Capital implies a very reduced ability to innovate in every part of the chain (startups and business assistants).
William Pividori and Sergio De Prisco, promoters of SEED Venture, were invited to give a speech; once on the stage, they started with a fact that may seem a provocation (but also a stimulus): on a global level an enormous amount of capital remains far from the financial markets and is not invested; we need to start to understand the reasons of all those who keep this capital “blocked” instead of investing it.
Starting from a real problem, made evident by the data that have been presented, SEED Venture aims to innovate the world of Venture Capital, making it more accessible and more liquid and transparent, helping startups, also not necessarily linked to the blockchain world, to prosper; finally, it wants to provide tools that until now were unthinkable to the incubators/accelerators that assist them.
